About our Basic Income Payments

News

In 2023 our project UBI4ALL went global. Since then not only citizens of the European Union could win 800 euros per month for one year. But why exactly 800 Euros? As we started UBI4ALL the medium income within the EU was calculated and the result was about this sum.

Since then we have done two global raffles without adapting the sum in a total of 9,600 euros to the variety of income levels all over the planet. We realized that in some regions 800 euros per month would be a fortune and this could bear risks for the winners like high tax payments or loss of social benefits. Our aim is to make the winners’ lives better, not more complicated!

So we sticked our heads together and thought about a fair solution for our potential winners all over the world. We very much hope you agree with our new strategy which we present herewith!

So, what will change?

We studied the international income rates (source: world bank) and adapted the monthly payments of our UBI to the 5 different income levels (low, lower-middle, upper-middle, high non-OECD and high OECD). We are happy to state that winners of lower income countries in total will not get less than those coming from high income regions! What will be adapted are the monthly payments.

How will this work?

If our next winner should live in e.g. Ethiopia, Yemen or India – all rated as low-income countries – he or she will get 160 euros per month over a period of 5 years.
Winners with residence in a lower-middle-income country – like Ghana, Albania or Georgia – receive 200 euros for 4 years. To upper-middle-income countries we pay out 267 euros for 3 years. To high income non-OECD countries it is 400 euros for 2 years and for high income OECD countries it is 800 euros for one year.

In this manner we guarantee the total sum of € 9,600 to all our winners and nobody will be left behind. We see this solution as a contribution to wealth distribution. We are also responding to indications from our community that 800 euros per month in a low-income country could make the envy of others a serious problem.
